Teaching Shakespeare is a ground-breaking education partnership between the Royal Shakespeare Company and the University of Warwick which provides online professional development for teachers and aims to transform the classroom experience of Shakespeare – wherever you are in the world.
These resources blend the RSC’s playful, creative and rigorous approaches to teaching and learning with the world-leading scholarship and research practices of the University of Warwick.

At the heart of this cutting-edge programme are specially-created online Practitioner Resources available to individual Teachers/Practitioners, or for whole Schools/Institutions on an annual licence basis.
Taking your Professional Development to the Next Level with our Accredited Courses:
The Postgraduate Award in the Teaching of Shakespeare is a 5-month online programme which builds skills and knowledge using active approaches to Shakespeare; there are two start dates in 2012 – September and December.
We also offer two 5-day intensive practical courses (conducted at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon) examining The Essentials of Teaching Shakespeare in the Classroom and The Essentials of Staging and Performing Shakespeare, examining pedagogical practicing and developing the ensemble. These courses can be taken as stand-alone Postgraduate Award qualifications or contributory towards a Postgraduate Certificate or MA pathway in The Advanced Teaching of Shakespeare.
