An Online Discussion of Mark Thornton Burnett’s ‘Hamlet and World Cinema’

To commemorate Shakespeare’s birthday, Prof. Mark Thornton Burnett (Queen’s University Belfast) will speak on his recent book, Hamlet and World Cinema (Cambridge University Press, 2019), with distinguished academics, Prof. Amitava Roy (Rabindra Bharati University), Prof. Shormishtha Panja (University of Delhi), Prof. Ashoke Viswanathan (Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute) and Prof. Pradipta Mukherjee (Vidyasagar College for Women, University of Calcutta).

The event is hosted by Prof. Pradipta Mukherjee (Vidyasagar College for Women, University of Calcutta), Prof. Debasish Lahiri (Lal Baba College, University of Calcutta) and the Inspirare Arts Foundation in collaboration with the British Shakespeare Association and Cambridge University Press.
